Catalina island

Catalina Island, also known by local indigenous people as Ikiita Island.  It is located in the Caribbean Sea just a few kilometers southeast of the coast of the Dominican Republic and south of the province of La Romana and is part of the Parque Nacional del Este.

Like the Saona, Catalina Island is a dream place, many consider that this island has the most beautiful beaches in the world, virgin paradisiacal beaches of white sand and calm crystal clear waters ideal for water activities.
If you are a lover of the underwater world, Catalina Island is an ideal place to unleash this passion.  This beautiful island is located off the coast of La Romana and as you might expect, the prevailing landscape is simply incredible.  One of the most recommended activities is to practice snorkeling to learn more about the creatures that inhabit the Caribbean seabed and for the most daring, diving is also one of the most favorable activities.  Sponges, coral reefs or colorful fish are some of the species that inhabit these turquoise waters and you can find them in such interesting dives as El Muro (one of the most impressive) or El Acuario, where some old shipwrecks are decorated by beautiful corals.  ;  a spectacle like no othe
